This retail fit-out was designed in Bencoolen Building for HanXiang Jewellery, a brand specializing in Jadeite, Fengshui, Gemstones & Bespoke Jewellery. The design focus was on creating an exclusive, sophisticated and modern atmosphere through the fusion of materials thoughtfully incorporated to create a story.

The rammed earth was introduced to tie back to the store’s service of providing gemstones, both materials born out of compacting aggregates to create something beautiful and durable. The verticality of the fluted glass pattern provides an elegant combination of visibility and privacy, while creating an illusion of flowing streams of water. Rounded corner caps around every frame are also intentionally placed to eliminate any sharp edges, a further nod to the store’s history of Fengshui.

The necessary furniture were carefully selected to provide design touches without neglecting their functionality, where the nobility of the wood and champagne highlights the beauty of the pieces on display. Out of the 2 shopfronts in Bencoolen building, this store is intended for private consultations, where intimacy and sophistication reign.
